I had to downgrade a new Mac’s OS back to Yosemite when I bought it to install PT11. I run 11.3.1 which says only compatible up to OS X 10.10.3, but I’m on 10.10.5 and have had no issues at all.

If the serial number starts 'S2' it's a Saffire 6 USB 2.0, if it starts 'SU', it's a Saffire 6 USB 1.1. I own Pro Tools 11 and Avid says it’s only fully compatible up to OS X 10.10 (Yosemite). If you are unsure whether your unit is the USB 1.1 or 2.0 version please check the serial number shown on the bottom of the device.
